Education content is often confused with DIY videos and How-To-Tutorial videos though this is a misconception. Both these genres have their own unique distinctions and follower bases which allow them to stand apart from each other.
There exist two types of sub-genres in the category of education content. There are large professional channels that have expanded beyond their usual network and medium, like TED and National Geographic, that belong to a larger official organization and subsequently share the material of their official organizations using YouTube.
The other sub-genre in this category is educational videos that are aimed at aiding and assisting the education of young children and school students by proving unique and interesting videos that force their young target audience to think about things they observe around them. This sub-genre seems to be eternal in its longevity given every year a new generation of students and children will be consuming their content as long as their content holds any educational value based on the era around them.
