How to get an ender pearl?

The most reliable source of ender pearls is through killing endermen as they have a 50% chance of dropping one. The number of pearls dropped increases by 1 per level of Looting with a maximum of 4 with Looting III. Ender pearls can also be found in altar chests across strongholds, they have about a 23% chance of spawning. Players can buy ender pearls from an expert-level cleric villager for 5 emeralds.

What is the use of ender pearls?

Ender pearls can be thrown by the players to teleport to the spot where the pearl land but this deals 5 damage to the player every time they teleport. The ender peals do not all follow the same path when thrown in the same direction, their direction and velocity are slightly randomized. Ender pearls are used to make an Eye of Ender and this is done by placing blaze powder next to an ender pearl in the crafting grid.
