How to get Dragon’s Breath in Minecraft

Of all the items that you can gain in Minecraft, there is one that is beyond rare and ranks high in difficulty in how to acquire.

That item is dragon breath, and the circumstances that a player must be in to acquire such an item are not only very specific but will also put you in grave danger. With the right information and preparation, however, you can easily overcome such odds and gain the substance that you want.

To get dragon’s breath, you need to make several glass bottles and enter the end portal. Once you confront the dragon and have some glass bottles with you, you will want to wait for the dragon to breathe its breath attack at you which will leave behind remnants of the attack. In survival, the only way to enter the end is to locate the end portal which is located in strongholds. To find a stronghold you are going to have to acquire the eyes of ender which you can throw to lead you towards your quarry. Take care to remember that the eyes of ender can only be made through the combination of blaze powder and ender pearls.

Before you enter the end you need to make sure that you have several empty glass bottles with you, otherwise, you will not be able to capture your dragon’s breath. Once you confront the dragon and have some glass bottles with you, you will want to wait for the dragon to breathe its breath attack at you which will leave behind remnants of the attack.

These gaseous remnants are what you are going to want to acquire with your glass bottle. Approach the gaseous entities and right-click with your glass bottle which will allow you to hold your coveted prize. Make sure you have a high volume of glass bottles so that you may have a high volume of dragon’s breath in your supply when all is said and done.

For such a rare item, you will be surprised to hear that dragon’s breath has only a singular use. That singular use is to be brewed into a lingering potion. This is actually quite useful because when combined with other splash potions that exist in the game, you can turn the splash potion into a lingering potion. For example: When combined with a lingering potion, a splash potion of poison can become a linger potion of poison.

When used it will leave behind a gaseous entity that will affect those that enter it, poisoning those that do so. This applies to all versions of a lingering potion, but the effect will depend on what you combine the lingering potion with.

Dragon’s breath can be a difficult resource to gain, especially with all the foes that you will meet in the end, but it can be well worth the effort if you choose to have a desire for making lingering potions that have a great amount of value to them. It’s a great opportunity and one that you should not squander when confronting your final foe.
