Sparse Jungle in Minecraft

A jungle is a biome found in the overworld full of dense vegetation which generates in areas with high humidity values, often next to forests. This biome has 3 variants, jungles, sparse jungles, and bamboo jungles.

Description

The sparse jungle (also known as jungle edge biome) is a sparser variation of the jungle. The forest formed here is less dense and the trees generated here are fewer in number. These trees are also generated less often than in the standard jungle variant.

The size of the trees formed play an important role in the distinction of this variant, as the spawned trees are smaller in size, when compared to the standard variant.

Mobs

This biome has the same mob spawning chances as its standard variant. The hostile mobs include spiders, creepers, endermen, witches, zombies, zombie villagers, jockeys and slimes(only in slime chunks). Passive mobs include chickens, sheep, pigs and cows.

Conclusion

Although this biome shares a lot of similar features with its denser standard variant, some things are different. Jungle pyramids won't be found anywhere in this biome. And it's surprising to find chickens being spawned in this biome more than its other variants. This is an ideal biome to set up a base, preferably with a group.
