Tuff Block in Minecraft

Tuff is an ornamental block that can be found deep underground around Y level 16 and they were added to Minecraft in v1.17. They are usually found around deepslate blocks in small clusters. Since they are a relatively new block they don’t have much use.

How to get Tuff blocks?

Tuff blocks naturally generate in small clusters in the Overworld. They are most commonly found between Y level -63 and 16 in all biomes, and can also be found in the deepslate layers. Tuff can replace blocks such as diorite, stone, andesite, granite, and deepslate while being generated. To pick up tuff blocks players will need to use a pickaxe otherwise nothing will drop.

What is the use of Tuff?

Tuff blocks are currently decorative blocks that are used for builds and can even be used for construction purposes. They have decent blast resistance which makes them a viable block for making temporary shelters.

Conclusion

Tuff blocks are a new addition to Minecraft, they are currently used for decorating builds or for aesthetic purposes. They can be used as a material block for building structures since they have decent blast resistance.
