Tuff is an ornamental block that can be found deep underground around Y level 16 and they were added to Minecraft in v1.17. They are usually found around deepslate blocks in small clusters. Since they are a relatively new block they don’t have much use.

Tuff can replace blocks such as diorite, stone, andesite, granite, and deepslate while being generated. To pick up tuff blocks players will need to use a pickaxe otherwise nothing will drop.
