Starting his YouTube career in 2011, with his channel ‘BanksHasBank’, Faze Banks has come a long way since then. His first ever video titled ‘The Single Greatest SoaRing In Style’ was posted on October 5, 2011. Most of his initial videos were centered around the popular ‘Call of Duty’ video games. One of his most popular videos is titled ‘Crashing FaZe Temperrrs Car!’ Starting off modestly, today ‘BanksHasBank’ or ‘FaZe Banks’ as it was rechristened has amassed over 5.1 million subscribers and over 410 million views.

The content on his channel has also changed over the years, including pranks, challenges, and even vlogs. While his YouTuber career was progressing handsomely, he marked his entry into the gaming world with a bang, by joining the Call of Duty gaming group known as ‘Faze Clan’ in 2013. It was then that he began to be known as ‘Faze Banks’. He served as the chief operating officer of Faze until May 2022. The reason for his post coming to an end is still unknown.

Banks’ YouTube career took a turn in the year 2017 when he began dating the ex of Jake Paul known as Alissa Violet. They began an internet feud which resulted in an exponential growth of his YouTube channel.

In 2017, Banks began dating Alissa Violet who is a model and YouTuber as well as the ex of Jake Paul. Later that year, Banks found himself in controversy when Jake Paul accused him of cheating on Alissa and assaulting his assistant Meg. Faze Banks responded to the situation with a YouTube video of his own, claiming that the story was entirely fabricated. They agreed to settle their disputes privately, However, the general audience sided with Faze and this controversy resulted in the monumental growth of his YouTube channel. Alissa and Banks however, called it quits, breaking up in 2019.

Banks has over 2.9 million followers on Instagram, and 2.8 million on Twitter, where he tweets about the crypto and NFT market.
