LispyJimmy created his YouTube channel in October of 2012 and started to upload videos about GTA, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, and Call of Duty Ghosts. He saw moderate success as his channel gained five thousand subscribers within 12 months. In the beginning, he would upload either gameplay or guide/tutorial-style videos. In his early career, the community considered his content of good quality as his videos were entertaining and helpful.

But this all changed after Lispy realized he could take advantage of his naive audience by deceiving and click-baiting them. He was also a master of the YouTube algorithm, by hyping up his videos, setting like goals, and uploading pretty much daily led to him hitting 500K subscribers in 2015 just two years after uploading his first video. By 2016, when the popularity and player base for GTA 5 started to decline, LispyJimmy had to either stick with making GTA 5 content or jump ship to a different game, he chose the latter.

He started to make IRL (in real life) content while continuing to make GTA 5 videos for a short while. But his new content wasn't popular as most of his audience was there for his GTA content leading to his videos not performing well. LispyJimmy was losing viewership at an alarming rate by 2017 leading people to believe that his channel and style of content were finally coming to an end, but this wasn't the case.

In September 2017, LispyJimmy started uploading videos on Fortnite Battle Royale which had just been released. He started uploading Fortnite content regularly and it became a fixture on his channel. His most popular videos at this time were related to giveaways and game updates. He continued uploading Fortnite content and even started live streaming for the next few years.

In early 2020, LispyJimmy uploaded a video to his channel titled “Meet my daughter” in which he would reveal that he was now a father. In this video, he would talk about how much stress and responsibilities he now had which didn't allow him to continue making Fortnite content like he used to. Since then his content output and quality have dropped, the caused him to start losing subscribers at a steady and noticeable rate. In 3 months he lost nearly eighty thousand subscribers.

Around this time the practice of click-baiting and hosting fake giveaways on YouTube became less acceptable and lots of content creators such as penguinz0, sunnyv2, etc. would post videos to their channels criticizing the type of content LispyJimmy was making. This resulted in severe backlash from the YouTube community which ultimately led to the end of his career on the platform. Even though he uploads videos rarely he has been unable to retain his viewership as most of his audience has been disillusioned and proceeded to move on.

Since 2021, he has stopped uploading on YouTube and moved to Facebook to distance himself from all the controversies and get a fresh start, he has since been streaming games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator and Call of Duty Warzone 2.0. He also makes reaction videos and shorts for his Instagram and Facebook page His content has improved quite a lot and is much more entertaining.
