Joshua registered his main YouTube channel on December 6, 2009, under the name Zerkaa. Joshua uploaded his first video four days later on December 10, 2009, titled, Spec Ops Series - The Pit (Veteran) w/aMOODIEswede. The video featured Joshua playing Call of Duty: Black Ops with his friend and earned over 100,594 views.

Josh mainly based his content around gameplay videos of himself playing Call of Duty titles till March 2010. Based on a number of growing recommendations from his fans to play other titles, mainly FIFA 10, Josh uploaded a video titled Market Research | FIFA 10 on March 8, 2010. The video served as a poll through which Josh inquired if only a small majority or if a larger majority wanted to see him play FIFA. With over 1,000 likes and 217 comments coming in favor of FIFA, Josh decided to think about soon playing the popular EA video game.

Josh was convinced that FIFA was one of the other games he could probably try playing apart from CoD and HALO. However, with the release of FIFA 11 on the horizon, Josh decided to wait for the game to release and continued to upload CoD: MW2 content like kills, montages, funnies, and fails.

On Sep 17, 2010, Josh uploaded his video titled FIFA 11 Is Sexy!. The video earned over 166,309 views. Due to this overwhelming response, Josh started playing FIFA regularly and started uploading FIFA content as often as he would upload CoD content.

Following this, Josh only uploaded FIFA-related content with some Minecraft videos. As of August 2022, Josh has decided to solely dedicate the Zerkaa channel to uploading Sidemen content, reaction videos, and vlogs.

Josh registered his second YouTube channel on August 25, 2012, under the name ZerkaaPlays. This channel is solely dedicated to Josh trying out and playing new games. As of August 2022, this channel has over 2.77 million subscribers and a whopping 1,013,126,493 views. His first video on the channel was uploaded on November 2, 2012, and it was titled, San Andreas | E012 - About This Channel. The video earned over 32K views.

Josh earned a massive fan following on the ZerkaaPlays YouTube channel thanks to his GTA V RolePlay content where he plays as Tommy Tate, Noah Scape, and Josh Zerker.

Josh was born in Bermondsey in South London in 1992. He attended the Bexley Grammar School where he met future Sidemen member, Tobi Brown. His parents did not have a happy marriage and called it quits.
