Beach in Minecraft

Beaches are common coastal biomes that can be found where an ocean meets the mainland. They serve as a transitional biome from the mainland to the ocean. There are three variants of the beach biome: Beaches, Stony Shore, and Snowy Beaches.

Description

Beaches are ‘bridges’ between mainlands and oceans. There are a few different variants of this biome:

Beaches

The regular beach biome is made mostly from sand, gravel, dirt, and clay blocks. Like the sand in deserts, sandstone generates underneath it, preventing it from falling into caves below. The beach terrain has a smooth descent into the water.

Stony Shore

The stony shore variant replaces normal beaches in areas with mountainous terrain at low erosion values. They are made entirely of stone, with large layers (stripes) of gravel. Unlike regular beaches, they have a steep drop-off into the water. Stony shores may generate at high enough elevations to have snow on their peaks, even when bordering warm biomes.

Snowy Beach

The snowy beach variant generates wherever snowy plains, snowy taiga, or any of their variants border an ocean. Snowy beaches are similar to regular beaches terrain-wise, being made mostly of sand, though their landscape is covered entirely in snow layers.

Mob Spawns

Plenty of mobs can be found in and around beaches and their variants. They are as follows:

  • Spider

  • Zombie

  • Zombie Villager

  • Skeleton

  • Creeper

  • Enderman

  • Witch

  • Turtle

  • Glow Squid

  • Rabbits (found in snowy beaches biomes only)

Conclusion

Beaches are a very common biome. They have three different variants- regular beaches, stony shores, and snowy beaches. A number of different mobs can be found in and around the vicinity of beaches. Beaches connect oceans to mainlands and are usually found quite easily.
