The Goblin Tinkerer is an NPC that sells unique items and provides the Reforge function, which allows the player to randomize the Modifier for a weapon or accessory, making the item either better or worse. He can be acquired after defeating a Goblin Army. He appears to be bound at first, and like the Mechanic, Wizard, Golfer, Tavernkeep, Angler, and Stylist, talking to him in this state will free him and he will be able to respawn as long as there is a house for him.
The Goblin Tinkerer can be acquired after defeating a Goblin Army, at which point he will spawn randomly in the Cavern layer. The Goblin Tinkerer will also appear only if the following conditions are met: it is daytime, the player has destroyed a Shadow Orb or a Crimson Heart, the player has 200 or more health, and another Goblin Invasion is not in progress. He will appear to be bound at first, and talking to him in this state will free him, after which he will be able to respawn as long as there is a house for him.
The Goblin Tinker sells several unique items such as: Rocket Boots, Ruler, Tinkerer’s Workshop, Grappling Hook, Tool Belt, Spiky Ball, and Any Pylon.
The Goblin Tinkerer is a useful NPC, mainly for his Reforge function. He is also useful for the variety of unique items he sells. Thus, the Goblin TInkerer acts as a worthy reward for defeating the Goblin Army.
