Rockelle moved into an empty house, in Sherman Oaks, California, sometime in November 2020. The house was purchased from actress Bella Thorne, who had previously lived there for a few years. Rockelle made 2 entire house tour videos, one with an empty house and the other with furnishings. The house was a hot pink-hued house, which was modified to purple and was listed for $2.55 million as reported by The Los Angeles Times, and purchased for the same price.
Standing at 4,500 square feet, the "unique and reinterpreted contemporary traditional" residence includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The property has plenty of colorful accents. In addition to its uniquely colored exterior, the property, when bought, boasted a two-story foyer with a rainbow staircase and floor-to-ceiling mural dedicated to Thorne and her Filthy Fangs record label, which was eventually removed by Rockelle, a blue and green living room trimmed with feather boas, and a dining room adorned with paper roses on its walls. Rockelle decided to do away with most of the house's earlier furnishings, adding her own in the months after.
A butler's pantry connects to an open floor kitchen with a massive marble top, built-in espresso machine, stainless steel appliances, and cabinet doors painted in various colors. Rockelle retained only a few of the previous aesthetics left by Thorne in the house, completely changing most of the colors and furniture. The stairs were mostly left alone as Rockelle mentions in the video, “It’s the most iconic part of the house”. The staircase featured RGB lights that were unchanged. The master bedroom was decorated with a purple ceiling but Rockelle changed that as well and settled for an average white hue. The suite is connected to a bathroom tacked with faux vines and a walk-in closet, which was also modified by Rockelle.
Sliding pocket doors in the family room open up to a backyard surrounded by mature trees with its own built-in barbecue, pool, and jacuzzi, most of which were untouched by Rockelle. The property has also been decked out with a smart home unit, as well as a surround sound system throughout the interior and patio. It isn’t clear whether Rockelle came around to modifying those features. According to real estate records, the house was built in 2016 and was last sold to the previous owner before Thorne for $2.01 million. Thorne then purchased the house for $2.3 million and then eventually sold it for $2.55 million to Rockelle.
In a statement with the LA Times, Thorne described the house saying, "There is a TV room that has gold flecks over everything, so that's the gold room. I wanted it to feel like every time you step into another room, you are entering a completely another world," she explained. Actually, when we have friends over, we're sort of 'kitchen standers', we stand around in the kitchen, eating and talking. From the beginning, we just had this idea of having an epic dining room. We didn't think much about actually using it." The house, although substantially modified by Rockelle, has several remnants of its previous owner.
Previously owned properties of Rockelle are currently unknown, as many speculate that before this she lived with her parents in Lawrenceville, Georgia, US, while others speculate that she and her family leased out a house in Los Angeles, before purchasing this property.
Rockelle’s dog, Frank Pugan, was named after Frank the pug from “Men in Black.” And with an origin story like that, Frank was born for superstardom. Piper’s furry friend seems to be constantly stealing the show in her YouTube videos, but we aren’t complaining – his cameos are always cuteness and comedy overload.
Rockelle’s mother influenced Piper’s passion for animals, and together they run a cat rescue organization. During an interview with “Friends From Afar”, Rockelle shared why she loves helping helpless kittens, “I think a lot of cats are underestimated. I feel like a lot of cats don’t get treated the way they should.”
At just 2 years old, Rockelle started competitively dancing, and like the rest of the dance world, JoJo Siwa was her idol. In a throwback YouTube video, she showed off her JoJo Bow collection and she owned more than a few of the star’s signature accessories.
