But with Lil Nas X’s rise on the Billboard Hot 100 and a three-week stay at no. 1, this has changed. The #yeehawchallenge blew Old Town Road up and Lil Nas to stardom, Drake’s #inmyfeelings, and Megan’s #savage challenges have helped grow the popularity of their songs. Other artists who have grown to prominence but with origins on TikTok are, Ambjaay, Y2K, and bbno$. There are over 15.1 billion views on #rapper and 3.8 billion on #rappers.
