Swavy began creating videos on the TikTok platform in early 2020, under the pseudonym “babyface.s”. He quickly became successful on his account and had more than 2.5 million followers and nearly 100 million likes on his videos, in one year. Along with his dance sequences, some of its content also included comedy skits. The majority of Swavy's dance videos showed him and his friends working their choreography and dance steps in public places like malls, stores, parks, or sometimes in the middle of the street.

Before his death, his last 2 videos saw him showing off different outfits from his wardrobe. His death marked a new tragic accident which is unfortunately common in those parts. It was the 16th homicide in 2021 in Wilmington, after 82 shootings had already been recorded there that same year. In 2020, around the same time, 73 people were shot and 11 died.

The boy was identified as Swavy fallen victim to a "fatal shot", in a statement released the day after by the Wilmington Police Department. According to preliminary reports, he died of his injuries in a hospital on Monday morning. At 10:42 a.m. the shooting occurred in the 700 block of Elbert Place (district of Southbridge).

Although an investigation has only recently begun, authorities are urging anyone with information on the case to come forward as soon as possible. “This incident is still being investigated, and additional details will be released as soon as possible,” according to the report. The investigation is still ongoing, according to the Wilmington Police Department on Nixle.

In several interviews with, “Insider”, “Oxygen.com”, and “The Independent”, details of his tribute were published. According to Oxygen, Matima Miller's relatives were quick to pay him a heartfelt tribute. Damaury Mikula, one of his relatives, posted a video in his honor. "Swavy, one of my friends, was shot. He was only watching videos.” “It makes no sense to see him go, ripped off. I had tears in my eyes. I love you. I know you can't hear me but you see me from above. I'll do you honor my brother. You were so innocent"

Many of Swavy's fans have taken to social media to commemorate his death. Destiny, Swavy's friend, paid tribute on Instagram. "Love you sm to the moon and back," she captioned a photo montage of herself and the young dancer. "I just need a hug from you one more time," she captioned a video.

Swavy posted a somber video on April 12, 2020, featuring a person in a hospital bed, along with the caption: “I promised you I would make it for you before you left me I don't wanna let you down momma,” followed by a sad face and broken heart emojis, but she was still alive and going through a severe illness.Since Swavy's passing, his mother Chantelle Clark has spoken up about her son to CBS3 in Philadelphia and TMZ.

Swavy's mother says about her condition -“Treatment can help but this condition can’t be cured. She had a good amount of time left to die until one day…. She cut herself and she patched it up thinking everything would be fine…. The cut got infected which made everything worse because of her current disease. My “mama” got worse and then she passed. The last thing I said to my “mama” was…. “I promise ill do better, ill do right, I promise I'm gonna make it for you.” Swavy's Family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral expenses. It had raised more than $23,900 as of July 11th.

At the time of his death, Babyface.s was without a partner. He preferred to keep his personal life secret, as do other celebrities. He avoided bringing his personal life into the spotlight. Babyface.s has never been involved in any online scandals or controversies. He had managed to keep a safe distance from conflicts and scandals on the internet.
