JoJo Siwa belongs to a family of four - her mother Jessalynn, her father Tom, and her older brother Jayden. They currently reside in Tarzana, California.
Joelle Joanie “JoJo” Siwa (b. May 19, 2003) is an American internet personality, dancer, and singer. She is best known for appearing in Dance Moms along with her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, and for her singles “Boomerang” and “Kid in a Candy Store”.
She had also been associated with Nickelodeon for a long time. Siwa posts daily videos of her day-to-day life on her YouTube channel, “Its JoJo Siwa”. She was on the list of TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” in 2020.
Jessalynn Siwa was a dance instructor by profession. She was instrumental in getting JoJo Siwa into dancing in the first place. She appeared alongside her daughter in the Lifetime dance reality series called “Dance Moms”. JoJo was ten years old at the time.
In an interview with The Today Show in March 2019, Jessalynn said that she did not force her daughter to get into show business, rather it was her own choice. She had sent JoJo’s audition tape to the makers of “Dance Moms”, and a young JoJo Siwa was thrilled to have made it into the main cast of the show. The mom and daughter duo had their big break when they starred in the second season of the Dance Moms’ spin-off show “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition”.
JoJo Siwa said in the same interview that Jessalynn was “never a stage mom”, and that she tried to persuade JoJo to stop working all the time. She also said that if JoJo wanted to stop vlogging and pursue a career outside the media industry, she would support her. JoJo also concurred by saying that Jessalynn never put extreme pressure on her children to succeed and that she always wanted JoJo to “be herself” and “be happy”.
Jessalynn told USA Today that managing JoJo can be overwhelming, considering her fan following. However, she has come to appreciate her role in JoJo’s life: “Every day is just a learning experience… It’s a lot of work and a lot of commitment. If it’s what you love, you’ve gotta try.”
As of 2022, she currently works as part of her daughter’s business and content development team, and is her daughter’s manager, having retired from her job as a dance instructor.

Dr. Tom Siwa is JoJo Siwa’s father and was a chiropractor by profession. When JoJo’s career as an entertainer took off, Tom retired from his job as a chiropractor and began to work as part of the business and content development team for JoJo Siwa. He mostly works “behind-the-scenes”. He often posts pictures of JoJo and their family on an active Instagram account.
Jayden Siwa (b.May 20, 2000) is the older brother of JoJo Siwa. Not much is known about him except for the fact that he currently works as a real estate agent with the real estate venture Compass. He posts pictures of himself and his family on social media, and he posts real estate sales-related TikToks and Instagram Reels.
JoJo and Jessalynn Siwa auditioned for the show “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition”, which included a $100k cash prize and a full scholarship to Joffrey Ballet in Chicago.
