Alamo Sea in GTA 5

The Alamo Sea is considered to be extremely salty and the worst place to go fishing. The sea is also probably toxic as a lot of trash and dead fish can be seen on its coastlines.

The Alamo Sea is based on the Salton Sea located in Southern California. The Salton Sea is the largest lake in California while the Alamo Sea is the largest water body in San Andreas. It covers an area of about 0.58 square miles and is around 149 feet deep at the deepest point of the lake. Many fish are found at this depth but are harmless.

According to a Weazel News radio report, hipsters have begun moving to the Alamo Sea area. They were bored and did not follow the local lifestyle, so the hipsters decided to start using drugs. The Alamo Sea drains into the Pacific Ocean via Cassidy Creek and the Zancudo River.

Minor Turbulence - The cargo plane crashes into the Alamo Sea after Trevor jumps out of the plane and parachutes to safety. The plane wreckage from the mission can be found in the lake after the mission. As it was a plane carrying weapons, some weapons can be found near this wreckage.

• The Alamo is also the name of a fort in San Antonio, Texas where in 1836, 200 Texans were killed defending the fortress from 4000 Mexican Army soldiers.

• According to the beta map found in the files, the Alamo Sea was not shown as a body of water on the map. Whether this was a map error with regards to fill or whether the area was indeed simply a continuation of the surrounding area is unknown, although half of the stretch of the Zancudo River was also designated as land, suggesting this is simply a map mistake.
