The Hotel Assassination Mission in GTA 5

The Hotel Assassination is an assassination mission given to Franklin Clinton by Lester Crest in GTA 5.

In this mission Lester Crest meets Franklin at Vespucci beach and gives him a target to assassinate which will cause the rise in the price of a certain stock. Franklin is instructed to assassinate Brett Lowrey, the CEO of Bilkinton Research. Brett has committed many crimes like frauds and scams and Lester explains to Franklin in what ways Brett is a bad person.

Franklin has to go to the vantage point in a parking lot next to the Von Crastenburg Hotel in Richman where Brett will be spotted leaving.

He then has to kill him, most preferably with a sniper rifle fitted with a suppressor, and get away quickly without being spotted. Once he moves away from the location the Mission passed message appears. Lester calls Franklin and tells him that he has invested the money made from the stocks into a house in Vinewood Hills and that he can stay there.

Brett Lowrey's bodyguards(optional) - Killed by Franklin for going after him. This will only happen if a suppressor is not used and Franklin doesn’t get away quickly or is spotted.

After Mission

After this mission if the player had invested in the Betta Pharmaceuticals stock, big returns are seen after the mission. The most ideal way to make money out of the stock market before and after this mission is in the following way.

Purchase Betta Pharmaceuticals stock and complete the mission on Monday, sell the stock by Tuesday, purchase Bilkinton Research stock by Friday, and sell that stock anytime after the following Monday.

Michael De Santa also calls Franklin after the mission and tells him that they have a meeting with Devin Weston for a job.

Trivia

The player needs to be careful on where they escape because if the player is careless, Franklin might end up going to the wrong exit thus receiving 2 wanted levels.
If the player switches from Franklin to either Trevor or Michael and then back to Franklin, it will instantly bring the player into the cutscene of Franklin being informed by Lester that Franklin has a new safehouse, and the game will introduce the player to Franklin's new safehouse.
Besides the news about Lowrey's death, there's also a news article from Daily Globe about a lawsuit against Redwood Cigarettes. This is a foreshadowing of the events of the next assassination mission.
It is best to do Three's Company before this mission, as it will give Franklin a free Heavy Sniper, meaning that the player can invest more money from the jewelry store heist.
