The Metro Train in GTA V is modelled after the Siemens P2000 used on the LA Metro Green Line. It features a short chassis with twin-axle bogies, circular headlights on a black front section, a curved windshield, and a "LOS SANTOS" destination box. The sides have mirrors, access doors, and marker lights, while the roof has a pantograph and what appears to be an air conditioning unit.
Inside, there's an inaccessible operator's cabin with a single seat and a control panel, while the passenger compartment has eight bench seats. The train is white and red with Los Santos Transit branding and is equipped with two horns: a standard cop airhorn and a quieter Freight Train horn.
This vehicle cannot be modified.
This vehicle does not make any prominent appearance in the storyline of GTA V.
The Metro Train can be found moving along the Metro tracks both underground and along the roads.
In GTA Online, if the player destroys a personal vehicle by hitting the side of the tram at high speed, the player will not be charged for the vehicle.
There is an unused text label that refers to the vehicle as "Metropolitan", pairing up to its model name and handling line.
