Hidden Packages in GTA 5

In GTA V, Hidden Packages are briefcases containing a specific amount of money. In appearance, they are just silver/gray briefcases that glow. Some briefcases even contain up to $25,000. 11 of these 16 briefcases can be found underwater and some even need diving equipment to be retrieved.

There are briefcases that spawn during random events as well. In the Altruist Cult Shootout, there are 4 briefcases each containing $25,000.

The Hidden Package locations are as follows:

1. Paleto Cove Briefcase ($12,000)
2. This case is sitting on the ocean floor in front of a detached airplane tail. Be aware that the other half of the plane is located farther down from the tail, hence you might find the plane wreckage first.
3. North Chumash Briefcase ($12,500)
4. This case is located inside another plane wreck. Swim under the plane to enter its belly. The case is sitting inside along with a few Submarine parts.
5. Zancudo Briefcase ($9,000)
6. This case is located on the top of a wrecked ship. This particular ship has several weapons pickups and a few Submarine parts as well.
7. Pacific Bluffs Briefcase ($25,000)
8. The case is sitting on top of a wrecked submarine just near the entrance hatch.
9. Los Santos Docks Briefcase ($11,000)
10. The case is located inside a wrecked ship just south of the Los Santos Docks. You will find the case sitting on the ocean floor.
11. Banning Briefcase ($7,500)
12. This case can be found without equipping any Scuba gear. The case is located on top of a wrecked container bed just below the surface.
13. Murrieta Fields Briefcase ($16,500)
14. This case is sitting on the ocean floor underneath another plane wreckage. Swim to the left side of the plane to find the package.
15. Palomino Highlands Briefcase ($7,000)
16. This case is located in the middle of the peninsula at Palomino Highlands. The case is sitting on the ocean floor on the right side of a wrecked steamer ship.
17. Tataviam Mountains Briefcase ($20,000)
18. The case is located just near a landmass and is inside an exploded ship.
19. Ron Winds Alternate Briefcase ($10,000)
20. This case is located far, far down the ocean floor and is inside a crashed military truck.
21. Paleto Bay Briefcase ($8,000)
22. The last underwater case is located in the shark-infested waters of eastern Paleto Bay. The case is on the ocean floor under a wrecked crop duster. The crop duster plane is difficult to identify because it looks like a rock formation.
23. Random Event Briefcase - Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness, Blaine County($25,000)
24. This briefcase is a little down the hill where a random event has taken place. It looks like a deal gone wrong. A wounded man warns you not to touch the briefcase before passing out.
25. Altruist Camp Briefcases ($25,000 x4)
26. These Hidden Packages can only be obtained at the Altruist camp during or after Trevor’s mission. During the shootout, there will be four briefcases that show up in the camp with $25,000 each.

Each hidden package rewards you with a different amount of money ranging from $7,000 to $25,000.

1. Upon completing Rub Out in GTA Vice City, a Tiki statue broken in half with white powder spilling out of it can be found on the bar counter in the Ocean View Hotel suite. This is a reference to the Miami Vice episode "Milk Run", where cocaine was smuggled using similar Tiki statues.
2. In GTA San Andreas, a large "tiki statue", exactly the same as a hidden package in GTA Vice City, appears in the Tiki Theater in East Los Santos.
