The Homing Launcher is based on the 9K32 Strela-2. It is a light-weight, shoulder-fired, surface-to-air missile system designed to target aircrafts at low altitudes with a targeting system. The Homing Launcher has a rectangular scope that the player looks through while aiming and targeting a vehicle or aircraft. The missile is placed into the barrel of the launcher from the front while reloading. When the square targeting the vehicle or aircraft turns red, it means it has a lock on the target and can be fired.
The Homing Launcher does very heavy damage to land vehicles as well as aircrafts. Its missile can even chase a P-996 LAZER and damage its engine and destroy most parts, if not cause it to explode. Land vehicles explode immediately when hit by the missile from the Homing Launcher except for the Rhino, which may only take damage and maybe stop functioning on one hit. Sometimes when targeting land vehicles at a distance, the missile is seen hitting the road and exploding, therefore the homing launcher has to be used carefully to make sure the target is hit. It usually takes a curved path when fired towards a locked target. The missile from the homing launcher returns back towards the target if it misses on its first attempt provided it does not come in contact with any surface.
