Name | Los Santos International Airport |
Location | Los Santos, San Andreas |
Appearance(s) | GTA V GTA Online |
The Los Santos International Airport or LSIA is based on the Los Angeles International Airport. It has four main terminals and three runways. There are many hangars at the airport along with helipads and a cargo bay. This is the most realistic airport in the Grand Theft Auto series with a lot of attention to detail for added realism.
There are two roads that provide access to the terminals, looping around them. The lower road is for arrivals while the elevated one is for departures. LSIA is connected to the Los Santos Transit with bus stops on access roads and two metro stations.
Just outside the airport near the entrance to the terminals there is a structure that looks just like the Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport. The control tower too bears close resemblance to the one in real-life. A heavily burnt front section of a Jet can be found in the area of the Cargo Bay which is possibly a training prop for firefighters as commonly found in airports, west of the fire station.
There are many inaccessible planes found at the airport. Few are jets and the others are smaller versions of the Jet that are based on the Airbus A320 and the Boeing 737 NG. The airlines found at the airport are Air Herler, Caipira Airways, Air Emu, MyFly, Adios Airlines and FlyUS. San Fierro Air and Los Santos Air only appear on terminal gates and cannot be seen on any planes.
Los Santos International Airport appears in the following missions.

Michael and Franklin can both purchase a hangar each at Los Santos International Airport. Aircrafts purchased online by them from either Elitas Travels or Warstock Cache and Carry and delivered to these hangars from where they can be accessed.
If Michael or Franklin do not own a hangar at LSIA then they will receive a three-star wanted level on trespassing into the airport. If they own a hangar, they can steal any vehicle/aircraft from the airport without receiving a wanted level. Trevor however will always receive a wanted level on entering the airport.
The flight school can be accessed through one of the terminals. There are also three stunt jumps in this LSIA terminal area. One is at the automated gate entrance which is a dumpster in the shape of a ramp leading towards the airport and the other two are small runway ads that move up to a 90 degree angle.
The following vehicles can be found parked or moving at different locations within LSIA.

A letter scrap can also be found next to a seat in the main terminal seating area at the front of the airport.
Strangely, when flying over the airport, the air traffic controller will warn the player to leave the area, but will sometimes warn the player that they will be shot down, even though this is a civilian area that is unarmed. This is due to re-used voice files from the Fort Zancudo air control; the voice files are also shared with Bolingbroke Penitentiary.
If the player was to add up the numbers of one of the double runways and the side runway, they will get a clever sexual innuendo commonly used in Rockstar's games: 3 + 21 + 12 + 33 = 69.
In the enhanced version, the airport fences securing the perimeter have been made completely indestructible.
Even though there are signs outside Terminal 2 for San Fierro Air and signs outside Terminal 4 for Los Santos Air, these airlines are never advertised or seen on the airport tarmac.
