Nuclear Waste can be collected after purchasing the Sonar Collections Dock and completing the mission The Merryweather Heist. A free Submersible will be available at the dock to reach the depths of the ocean while searching for the Nuclear Waste barrels. There are 30 yellow barrels of nuclear waste that can be located using the trackify app on the player’s mobile phone.
There is no need to exit the submarine to collect the barrels. The app shows the direction in which the next or nearest barrel is located. A player has to be aware of the terrain while navigating the submarine as it has to be driven close to the floor while locating the barrels. There are cash rewards for every barrel and also a huge bonus amount for collecting all 30.
1. | This is the first barrel that the Trackify app finds just a few clicks away from the Sonar Docks. |
2. | The next barrel is located just a few feet away from the first one. |
3. | The third barrel is another few feet away from the second one and is sitting on a red-colored rock formation. |
4. | The fourth barrel is all the way up Paleto Bay and is nearly 430 feet below crushing depth. You'll have to descend between the huge rock crevices to find this barrel. |
5. | The fifth barrel is further up the bay and is located under a large rock archway formation. |
6. | The sixth barrel is located on the side of the rock wall. You'll need to ascend around the bottom corner to see it. |
7. | The seventh barrel is located on a rock ledge just below crushing depth. Avoid descending too far to the ocean floor and search for the ledge on the rock wall. |
8. | The eighth barrel is also located below crushing depth just a few feet away from the seventh barrel. This one is located a bit higher but is sitting on a flat surface on a rock ledge. |
9. | The ninth barrel is located all the way up the surface next to a rock wall. |
10 | The tenth barrel is just further up from the ninth barrel sitting on the ocean floor. |
11. | The actual barrel itself is not visible. To collect it, float above the red dot on the Trackify app and then descend onto the ocean floor until the sub retrieves it. |
12. | The twelfth barrel is several feet away from the previous one and is sitting on the ocean floor. |
13. | The thirteenth (and last) barrel for the San Chianski area is located near the surface level towards the beach. After picking up this barrel, get ready for another long drive down the coast to the next one. |
14. | The fourteenth barrel is located off the Palomino Highlands coast on the ocean floor. |
15. | The fifteenth barrel is a far drive up the ocean past the landmass peninsula. The barrel is located below crushing depth and is sitting on a rock ledge. |
16. | The sixteenth barrel is a far drive from the previous one and is located in between a rock crevice just near crushing depth. |
17. | The seventeenth barrel is farther away from the sixteenth barrel and is located on the ocean floor. |
18. | The eighteenth barrel is located further up from the previous one and is sitting on a rock on the ocean floor. |
19. | The nineteenth barrel is located at Del Perro right underneath the Del Perro Pier. The barrel is sitting between the wooden stilts. |
20. | The 20th barrel is further up the beach and is located on the ocean floor. |
21. | The 21st barrel is a few clicks away from the previous one towards the ocean. The barrel is located on a rock ledge between several rock walls. |
22. | The 22nd barrel is located up towards Pacific Bluffs sitting on the ocean floor next to a rock wall. |
23. | The 23rd barrel is further up the bluffs and is sitting on the ledge of a rock wall. This is the last barrel for the beach area, so gear up and drive up the coast towards Chumash to find the next batch. |
24. | The 24th barrel is located just off the Chumash coast and is sitting on the ocean floor. |
25. | The 25th barrel is a long drive up the coast towards Zancudo and is sitting on the ocean floor. |
26. | As you drive towards Zancudo, the waters begin to turn bright brown, so you'll need to watch the Trackify app and then look for the glowing barrel sitting on a rock ledge. |
27. | The 27th barrel is all the way at northern Chumash, so be ready for a long drive. The barrel is located on the ocean floor. |
28. | The 28th barrel is located just a few clicks away from the previous one. The barrel is sitting on the ocean floor. |
29. | The 29th barrel is located further up from the previous one. The barrel is located just near crushing depth and is sitting on a rock ledge. |
30. | This barrel is located at the bottom of the ocean floor close to the 29th one. |
