Paleto Forest in GTA 5

The Paleto Forest is a forest area with coniferous trees and it is located on the northwestern foot of Mount Chiliad and to the south of Paleto Bay. The Bayview Lodge is situated in the Paleto Forest area along with other few buildings scattered around.

It is mostly a rural area. Due to the town of Paleto Bay being situated so close by, there are many cars that can be seen driving through the forest. Deers, Coyotes, Boars and cougars are the wildlife found in Paleto Forest.

The mission Lamar Down takes place at the Paleto Forest Sawmill. Lamar is kidnapped and held captive in the sawmill. Franklin rescues him with the help of Michael, Trevor and Lester.

The Cletus side mission “Fair Game”, also takes place here.

• The cable car can be blown off the wires by placing sticky bombs on the top.

• The Logger Beer lumberjack statue at the Bayview Lodge carries a wooden beer keg; if the keg is shot at, liquid will pour out of the bullet holes.

• The Lumberjack statue appears to be based off a similar statue depicting a Pirate carrying a keg at Blackgang Chine, a small theme park on the Isle of Wight off the coast of Southern England.

• The lumberjack can be seen on the side of the Paradise van from the Beach Bum Pack if it is chosen by the player when they buy it or by respraying it at Los Santos Customs.
