The only thing known about Rickie Lukens is that he worked at the Lifeinvader office before getting fired after the death of Jay Norris. Nothing much is revealed about his background.

Rickie Lukens first appears in the mission Friend Request where he asks Michael to clear pop-ups from his computer and run an antivirus software. After Jay Norris is killed he gets fired from Lifeinvader and contracts Michael to give him a job. After this he can be hired as a hacker for the following heists with the following outcomes.

The Jewel Store Job - If he is chosen for this heist, he will provide the crew with only 50 seconds to steal the jewelry to which Michael will react saying, “You gotta be kidding me! Why did I employ a hacker who can't run antivirus software?".

The Bureau Raid - If Rickie Lukens is chosen for this heist without past experience, he will not know how to turn off the sprinklers and simply guess how to decode the FIB security systems. If he is chosen after experience from The Jewel Store Job, he will be able to give the instructions to hack the computer and might also be able to turn off the sprinklers if the player moves fast enough through the building.

The Big Score - If chosen in this heist without any past experience, there will be a four second lag while Franklin controls the traffic lights. If Rickie has the past experience of one heist then there will be a two second lag, and no lag if he was chosen for both The Jewel Store Job and The Bureau Raid.

Rickie Lukens is a young man with wavy brown hair. He is seen wearing a green t-shirt over a white sweatshirt with blue denim shorts. He wears brown hi-top sneakers and a wrist watch on his left hand. During the mission Friend Request he is seen wearing his Lifeinvader ID card around his neck.
