Background

Tonya Wiggins along with her husband JB Bradshaw attended the same school as Franklin - Davis High School - and have been friends with him since childhood. Tonya has a certificate in cosmetology which she often refers to as “cosmology” and Franklin jokingly asks her if she is going up to space. Tonya is a prostitute who works outside the liquor store on Forum Drive, just opposite to Franklin and Denise Clinton’s house. Tony and her husband are both addicted to crack and often neglect their towing business because of it.

Franklin is given a job to tow five vehicles as a substitute for JB Bradshaw, Tonya’s husband who is unavailable to do the job. Tonya accompanies Franklin on three of the five jobs and takes the radio calls for him.

Michael and Trevor can both encounter her outside the liquor store on Forum Drive, and she will offer to "show them a good time", telling Trevor she sells her body to support herself and JB. Both protagonists reject her offer.
