The AP Pistol is based on a range of automatic machine pistols. It resembles the Colt 1911 and the Colt SCAMP with features from the OTs-33 Pernach. The AP Pistol has the manufacturer’s name on both sides of the weapon. It also has some lettering that mentions the type of rounds used and the firing type of the weapon. It is very similar to the Automatic 9mm from The Lost and The Damned. It has a Picatinny rail for attachments on the top but can be fitted with only a suppressor and a flashlight, none of which need the Picatinny rail.
The AP Pistol performs better than most weapons in the game. It has a high fire rate, great accuracy, range, and stability. The AP Pistol is no doubt better than the Micro SMG and probably even the SMG, making it the best weapon for drive-bys. This weapon is highly accurate even in long ranges. It takes 3-4 bullets to take down a target with armor while hitting body shots. Using this weapon with Michael’s special ability gives the player a great advantage in gunfights due to the large clip size and high fire rate.

This is probably made for the sake of the "Accuracy" gold objective, so the player would not waste bullets by mistake.
