Bayview Lodge is based on the Big Sur River Inn in Big Sur, California. It also has a general store and a restaurant. Just in front of the lodge is a giant lumberjack statue wielding an axe and a Logger Beer barrel. It is situated at a very scenic location, just next to the hills of Paleto Forest. At night the place is lit up with fairy lights on the roofs which contributes to the beauty of the surrounding area as well.
