Davis Quartz is a mining site that could possibly be based on the Mountain Pass rare earth mine, located in San Bernardino County located close to Los Angeles. Very few workers are found working here and most can be spotted around the site in groups.
There is a railway line that runs very close to the mine for transportation purposes. A Dump can always be found at the site among other vehicles like the Bison, Dozer, Sandking, etc.
Davis Quartz appears in the mission Sidetracked which is a heist setup mission for the Obvious approach of The Big Score. It also appears in the Strangers and Freaks bail bond mission for Trevor Philips where he has to bring back Ralph Ostrowski to Maude Eccles. Ralph Ostrowski can be found at Davis Quartz.
The player can find a diner called Rex's Diner just south of Davis Quartz. They will find a purple giant Tyrannosaurus Rex that slightly resembles Barney from Barney & Friends.
