Jimmy De Santa in GTA 5

Jimmy was born in 1993, two years after his elder sister Tracey. He lived with his parents in a trailer park throughout his early childhood. His father, Michael, faked his own death during a heist in North Yankton to move to Los Santos with new identities for the safety of his family. After moving to Los Santos, Michael’s relationship with his family hasn’t been great. Jimmy’s online gaming and drug habits seem to worry Michael. Jimmy was a baseball player as a kid, as seen in one of the photographs at the De Santa residence.

Jimmy is seen looking out for a car at Simeon Yetarian’s car dealership. He purchases a yellow BeeJay XL sold to him by Simeon as part of a fraud. Later, Franklin Clinton tries to repossess this car from the De Santa residence but unfortunately finds Michael in the backseat holding a gun at him.

Later, Jimmy tries to sell Michael’s yacht to some buyers but they steal it instead. Jimmy hides in the boat while Michael and Franklin set out to rescue him. They successfully rescue Jimmy but lose the boat. Franklin and Jimmy return home while Michael sets off for some alone time.

Michael is then seen trying to watch a movie but Jimmy, in his room, is too loud with his video game. Michael goes to Jimmy’s room and smashes his TV with a chair in a fit of anger. He then explains to Jimmy how he doesn’t want to see Jimmy just sit the whole day and waste his life doing nothing. Michael and Jimmy then go to Vespucci beach for a bike ride together. On reaching the pier, Jimmy informs Michael about Tracey being on a yacht with some producers and people from the porn industry. Michael brings Tracey back from the yacht who storms off after telling him that he ruined her life. Jimmy follows Tracey.

Later on when Michael finds a brick of weed in their fridge, he and Jimmy start arguing about it and throwing insults at each other, when suddenly Trevor arrives at the scene leaving everyone speechless. When Trevor asks where Tracey is, Jimmy informs them that she is auditioning for the show Fame or Shame at the Maze Bank Arena. Michael and Trevor set out to rescue her from making a fool of herself on national TV.

When Amanda’s yoga instructor gets too close to her, Michael takes a plunge at him and falls in the pool. Amanda gets angry at Michael and leaves the scene. Michael goes to Jimmy’s room asking him to hang out. Jimmy agrees after protesting a few times. The two go to meet Jimmy’s friend Ahron Ward to pick up some drugs. On the way Michael tries to talk to Jimmy and relate to him. Jimmy gives Michael a sip of a spiked drink and Michael gets dizzy. Jimmy then pushes him out of the car at the side of the road.

Michael learns from Amanda that Jimmy told her Michael had willingly taken drugs while driving him which led Amanda to get even angrier at Michael before leaving him. Jimmy then asks Michael for another $1000 which Michael just ignores.

Jimmy visits Michael at the De Santa residence. He informs Michael that Amanda realized that Fabien is even more self-obsessed than Michael was and is bored. Michael and Jimmy go to meet Tracey and Amanda to bring them back. The family of four go to meet Dr.Friedlander and they move back in. Soon, Michael and Jimmy are at the premiere of Meltdown when Devin Weston arrives and tells Michael that he sent the Merryweather men to kill his family. Michael and Jimmy are able to take out all the men where at the end Jimmy is seen teabagging Michael by mistake after taking out the last man.

Later, Jimmy gets kidnapped by a comedy writer for trolling him online. Michael can either rescue him or pay him a ransom of $9500 to let Jimmy go.

Jimmy is a short, slightly overweight boy. He wears a red and black Frantalot jersey with a white t-shirt under it with grayish blue jeans. He also wears sneakers and a silver chain around his neck. He has a tattoo on his neck that says “entitled”.

1. Sometimes, Jimmy can be heard watching pornography in his locked bedroom. If Michael tries to enter, Jimmy will tell him to go away. The same sometimes also occurs to Tracey, where moaning and other suggestive sounds are heard inside her bedroom.
2. If Jimmy is injured by one of the three protagonists, he will be hospitalized like the other supporting characters, but unlike Tracey and Amanda, Jimmy remains calm when he texts back Michael, Franklin or Trevor about his condition.
3. Jimmy might be based on AJ Soprano from the HBO Series The Sopranos. They are both lazy underachievers with criminals as fathers. Michael purchased Jimmy a yellow SUV, and Tony Soprano does the same for AJ in the show.
