Tracey Townley was born to Michael and Amanda in 1991. She lived with them and her brother who was born two years after her, in a trailer park in the Midwest. Trevor Philips was very fond of Tracey as he has said that he’d hurt anyone who wronged Tracey. After Michael faked his own death with concern for his family’s safety, the family moved to Los Santos under the name De Santa. Tracey’s relationship with everyone was affected during this time because of her decisions and lifestyle.

Tracey is first seen when Franklin breaks into Michael’s house to repossess the car bought by Jimmy De Santa. She is seen arguing with Jimmy at that point. She is again heard arguing later, but this time with her mother. She isn’t allowed to let her boyfriend Gary stay over and breaks up with him soon after as seen on her Lifeinvader page. Later, when Michael and Jimmy race their bikes at Del Perro Pier, Jimmy informs Michael about how Tracey was meeting some people from the porn industry on a yacht. Michael dives into the sea and swims to the yacht. He crashes the party where he sees Tracey dancing on a table for the producers. He asks her to leave with him and even throws a speaker and one of the producers into the ocean. They leave on a Seashark but are chased by Blake and Freddy, whom Michael gets rid of after which he goes home along with Jimmy.

Later, Tracey auditions for Fame or Shame at the Maze Bank Arena. Jimmy breaks this news to Michael just when Trevor enters the kitchen at the De Santa residence and sees that Michael is still alive. Michael and Trevor both go to the Maze Bank Arena and save Tracey from humiliating herself while she was performing a dance and Lazlow, the judge of the show, got too close to her. Michael and Trevor chase down Lazlow, taking a video of him and sending him off with a warning. Tracey gets frustrated with this behavior of Michael who she claims is “ruining her life”.

When Amanda leaves Michael’s house with the kids to live with Fabien, Tracey sends emails to Michael updating him on the Fabien situation and is also seen asking him if he is still alive. Michael soon decides to try and get his family back. He goes with Jimmy to the tattoo parlor to bring Tracey to a therapy session but finds her begging Lazlow for another chance to be on Fame Or Shame. Michael overhears him asking for a blowjob if she wants to make it and attacks him. Michael pierces his ear, nose and brow and also tattoos a penis on either his chest or his back. He also cuts off Lazlow's ponytail and finally Lazlow agrees to have her on the show. Impressed by this, Tracey agrees to go to the therapy session and soon they move back in with Michael.

Later on, Tracey calls Michael and asks him to help her with a stalker. Michael can either let him go or kill him. Tracey is happy that her father helped her in either outcome. If Michael refuses to help her, she pays a couple of guys with Michael’s money to beat the stalker up.

After Michael accidentally kills Devin Weston’s lawyer, Weston sends the Merryweather to attack Michael’s family. Tracey and Amanda are attacked at their home but Michael takes them all down with a little help from Jimmy. Tracey is then seen not winning the show Fame or Shame and Michael tells her that he’ll turn her into a movie star when he becomes a movie producer. She starts preparing for college after the three protagonists have defeated their enemies. In the alternate ending where Michael is killed by Franklin, Michael receives a call from Amanda who tells him that Tracey has been accepted into college, just before Franklin can kill him. Michael does not get to congratulate her.

Tracey has blonde hair which might possibly be dyed as she has black eyebrows. She is mostly dressed in a skirt and a top. She has three tattoos on her body - one on her shoulder, one on her lower back and the other on her left foot.

2. After completing the Daddy's Little Girl mission, it may be possible to find Tracey in her bedroom doorway with a young man. She will slam the door on Michael and he'll be locked out of her room, after which moaning and other suggestive sounds are heard that indicate she's having sex with the man.
3. If Franklin or Trevor steal Tracey's car, Michael will text them saying "My daughter's car? You're a dick". This will also happen even if the player drives a different Issi into the driveway and drives off in it again, possibly the result of a glitch.
4. If the bathroom is locked in Michael's House, using a tall vehicle to see into the bathroom window from the outside reveals Tracey inside smoking.
