The Taco Van in GTA V is an extended version of the Boxville, operated by Attack-a-Taco for selling Mexican food. It retains most of the Boxville's features but adds unique details. The sides have black plastic strips and gray paneling with criss-cross patterns. The left-hand side has a single access door and an air conditioning unit, while the right-hand side has a wide stand with a closed compartment door.
The roof features large windows and may have a detachable roof sign displaying the company's name. The interior dashboard remains the same, but the back section has a driver seat and compartments filled with additional goods such as snacks, sodas, and coffee cups. The vehicle appears in a white color with a yellow livery and company markings, advertising various Mexican dishes like tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, tostadas, and beverages.
The Taco Van is a heavy rear-wheel-drive vehicle with a powerful engine that enables moderate speeds, although acceleration is compromised by its weight. Its design makes it susceptible to tipping over when cornering sharply and prone to oversteer due to body roll and weight distribution.
However, its weight can be advantageous for ramming other vehicles. The vehicle is equipped with a twin-cam inline-4 engine, featuring a prominent chrome turbocharger, positioned longitudinally in a front engine, rear wheel drive layout, and paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The engine produces a distinctive low-revving diesel sound, similar to the Boxville.
This vehicle cannot be modified.
The Taco Van does not have any prominent appearance in the storyline of GTA V.
Can be commonly found parked along the freeways.
Can be found parked next to Trevor's Trailer.
Commonly parked off a dirt road just east of Grapeseed.
Can be spotted around Alhambra Drive in Sandy Shores.
Can be seen driven around the graveyard in Pacific Bluffs.
The player's position within the vehicle while in first person view, combined with the position of the steering wheel, makes it impossible to view the dashboard dial cluster.
In the original version of the game, the roof windows would appear as one whole window from the inside, and four individual ones from the outside. This was fixed in the enhanced version.
The air conditioner that sticks out of the left wall is blocking the driver's view of the rear corner mirror.
The default radio station for the Taco Van is East Los FM.
