Kuen was a shrine maiden from Daidai Village. She sealed Soma four hundred years ago. She is one of the characters in Boruto: The Next Generation, a Japanese manga series written by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto.

Four-hundred years ago, Kuen faced Soma, an evil spirit that steals memories. She succeeded in sealing the demon inside her body. But, because her memories were fading quickly, she couldn't completely seal it. Instead, she trapped part of the demon in a nearby rock while keeping some of it inside herself.
The curse of Soma caused Kuen to lose all her memories permanently. As a result, she had to give up her role as a shrine maiden and later had twin children who inherited the curse, passing it down to her descendants.
Kuen was strong will shrine maiden who did not let Soma control her.
Kuen wore purple Kimono and had blonde hair. She had orange eyes and carried a sword.
Kuen has great skill in Kenjutsu, which she showed against Soma.
