When Mozu was a kid, she got lost in the woods. A rare white marten found her, keeping her warm. Later, she finds out the marten is almost extinct. Mozu ended up in the newspapers, and she thought it was a sign. Believing the marten brought her luck, she sadly killed it and turned its fur into a scarf. Mozu then sold special animals, selling pets to important people, like Ikkyu Madoka, who bought a pet ferret for his son Tento.
Mozu wanted the special Senri Hawks for her animal-selling business. But Maruta, who bred and trained them, refused to help because they're endangered. Mozu got mad and started threatening him, even causing rockslides near his home.
Later, Sasuke Uchiha and Boruto Uzumaki visited Mozu's place. At first, she didn't think much of them, but she got interested when she found out Boruto was connected to the Fire Daimyo. While showing them around, they revealed they were ninja, not regular customers. Boruto didn't like how Mozu treated animals, so she kicked them out.
Mozu wasn't happy when her son, Tsuzura, wanted to attend school. She found out he was spending time with Boruto, who taught him to care for his pet hawk, Yuki. Mozu didn't like that and took Yuki away from Tsuzura. When Boruto tried to make her see the good in her son, Mozu didn't care, thinking it wouldn't help her business.
Later, Mozu locked Tsuzura in his room, said she would turn Yuki into a decoration, and discussed how she started her business. When Yuki went missing, Mozu thought Tsuzura had taken her. She sent her security officer and his wolf after him. Boruto protected Tsuzura, and Mozu threatened to jail Boruto if he returned.
Sasuke offered one of his special hawks in exchange for Yuki and Tsuzura. Mozu agreed, thinking Tsuzura would come back. But the hawk was just pretending to be in trouble. It freed the other animals, and they wrecked Mozu's place. When Mozu tried to get Sasuke's hawk, Tsuzura stood up to her. The security officer warned her that Sasuke was too powerful for her to handle.
Mozu is a determined person who wants special animals for her business. She can be mean when things don't go her way, like threatening and causing trouble. Mozu gets interested in people who know important folks, like Boruto. She doesn't like her son Tsuzura going to school or spending time with Boruto. Mozu can be harsh, taking away Tsuzura's pet hawk, Yuki, and threatening to decorate with it.
When she thinks Tsuzura took Yuki, Mozu tries to stop him, but Boruto protects him. Mozu agrees to a deal but doesn't realize she's dealing with someone more powerful. Ultimately, the animals she wanted to sell messed up her business.
