Disclaimer: Please remember that this page may contain spoilers for Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, especially regarding the history of Konohagakure and Uzushiogakure.
Currently, nothing is left of the Hidden Eddy Village. It is in ruins after many wars due to it’s sealing jutsu skills and thus many members of the Hidden Eddy have taken refuge in many parts of the world.
Konoha Shinobi are seen wearing Hidden Eddy’s logo of water swirling in order to show the strong relations the village has with them. The relation between Uzumaki clan of Hidden Eddy and Senju clan of the Hidden Leaf is a major reason behind this.
Name | Village Hidden by Whirling Tides, Hidden Eddy Village, Uzushiogakure |
Country | Land of Whirlpools |
Leader (Status) | Ashina Uzumaki (Deceased) |
The Hidden Eddy Village was famous for its incredibly high life expectancy. The people here lived much longer than average, which is incredible considering the Reaper Death Seal Jutsu, one of the strongest Sealing Jutsu ever created by the people of this village, which takes the caster’s life away.
The village primarily consisted of the Uzumaki Clan and they were famous for their incredibly high Chakra reserves similar to the Senju clan. Uzumaki clan was also the leaders when it came to Sealing Jutsu.
The Uzumaki clans had close relations with the Hidden Leaf, since they were distant blood relatives with the Senju clan. To show their bond, the Hidden Leaf Shinobi have the Uzushiogakure crest on their uniforms. The Hidden Sound Village, a village founded by Orochimaru, also has the Uzushiogakure crest on their uniforms.
As a favour to the Hidden Leaf, the Uzumaki Clan would choose one of their own to be a Jinchuriki of the Nine-tailed fox for the Hidden Leaf Village. Mito Uzumaki and Kushina Uzumaki are known Jinchurikis for the Hidden Leaf. Naruto Uzumaki while he isn’t from the Hidden Eddy, is also an Uzumaki who was a Jinchuriki for the Leaf.
It is unknown exactly when the Hidden Eddy Village fell but it is assumed to be around the time Kushina Uzumaki went to the Hidden Leaf as a Jinchuriki.
There are not many characters that are known to be from the Hidden Eddy Village specifically. Here are all known characters confirmed to be from the Eddy Village:
