Toki and her siblings Sagi and Chishima had a happy childhood playing near a lake filled with egrets. However, tragedy struck when their father was assassinated, and Sagi passed away soon after. Devastated, Toki considered suicide but was stopped by her brother's spirit.
He gave her his broken pocket watch and vanished. To seek justice for their family, Toki adopted Sagi's identity, imitating his voice and concealing her hair. Now, living a double life, she goes by Sagi, investigating the conspiracy surrounding her father's death as the Cursed Warrior.
Toki pretended to be her brother Sagi, who was a leader, and also took on the role of the Cursed Warrior to get revenge on Hoki, the person who killed her brother and father. However, she failed in her attempt and was ready to accept her fate. Naruto intervened, convinced her to keep going for the Land of Birds' sake, and defeated Hoki.
After this victory, Toki's broken watch started working again, showing she could move forward. The next day, she confessed her deception apologized to the people, but asked to keep ruling to bring peace back to the land. The people forgave her, and she continued leading as herself.
