Taxi in GTA 5

The Taxicab is the standard yellow cab, but this time with a blue secondary color. The DownTown Cab Co. logo can be seen on the doors on both sides. It is based on a second-generation Stanier in the game and on the 1988-2011 Crown Victoria in real life. The tail lights are squarish with the brake lights extending a little to the outer edges onto the side.

The DownTown Cab Co. phone number can be seen on the rear end of the car, on the trunk cover and on the bumper. The headlights are rectangular with the grille in between them and below them are two rectangular fog lights which are part of the front bumper. The rear view mirror covers are black and on top of the car is a lit advertisement board that carries the "Caca", "Le Chien", "Vanilla Unicorn", or "Die Already 4" advertisements.

The Taxi performs very well as a car. The handling and top speed on it are great, however, the acceleration could do better. This car is very stable even at high speeds, especially on highways while dodging traffic. The high-speed cornering of the Taxi is commendable and is much better than many sports cars. When the player releases the throttle after revving the engine, the engine will emit a knocking noise. This is just to add more realism to the game as GTA V is known for it. The performance of this car can be compared to the Police Cruiser.

This vehicle cannot be modified, but can be repaired at LS Customs.

• In GTA V, if the player slams into the rear of a taxi with a passenger in the backseat and kills the driver in the front seat, the passenger will climb out of the backseat and flee unharmed.

• The Taxi's backseat has a lot of stickers. Among these stickers is the old 255 for Liberty City Government Services sticker from the GTA IV Taxi.

• On both backseat passenger doors, there are warnings that state "Driver carries a firearm and will use it in defense". However, no taxi drivers are actually armed.
