The Big Score is a storyline mission and heist in GTA V. This is a heist carried out by all three protagonists at the Union Depository, which is the biggest heist of their lives.
The Big Score mission in GTA V can be carried out in two ways - a subtle approach and an obvious approach.
In the subtle approach, the team waits for two Stockades to enter the tunnel and drops a Spike Strip or Stinger to stop them. The occupants are taken hostage, and they are forced to ride in the vans to support them. The team then goes to the Union Depository building's underground garage, and they park the Securicars in reverse.
They push the carts containing the gold to the Securicars and escape from Merryweather troops with the help of Franklin, who controls the traffic lights of the district using a laptop. After parking the Securicars, they transfer the packs of gold to four modified Gauntlets, and they face a massive shootout with Merryweather mercenaries.
They protect the crew while they transfer the gold to the Gauntlets and drive the Gauntlets onto two trailers after a short chase, to escape the police.
In the obvious approach, the team drives the Oracle to the Union Depository with the gunman assigned. Franklin is outside the underground vault in an HVY Cutter, and Michael and the other gunman distract the cops at the front door. The team uses drills to create a huge opening on the bank vault and takes the gold.
The team escapes from the police and Merryweather troops using the getaway vehicle, and they head towards the airfield. They fight their way through the airport and take a cargobob helicopter, and they fly out of the city with the gold.
Regardless of the approach, the three enter a massive argument that supposedly leaves them on bitter terms despite the victory. The mission ends with Michael, Trevor and Lester flying away to the gold's new location, while Franklin and the gunman drive away in the new getaway vehicle.

The end of this mission is the beginning of the end of the game. After this mission if Franklin visits his safehouse, it triggers the final mission where he has to choose between three options.
It comes down to killing Michael, killing Trevor or the trio taking out all their enemies together. The third option is the canonical ending to the game, however the player can choose either of the three.
Michael and Trevor will both receive Gruppe Sechs uniforms after this mission, even though the uniforms are only required if the player uses the Subtle approach.
The trio manage to steal exactly 672 gold bricks, since when Casey is paid off (Subtle), $300,000 is deducted from the take, indicating that each brick is worth $300,000. 201,600,000 divided by 300,000 is 672.
If Trevor triggers the mission, he and Michael do not fight as much in the cutscenes.
In the Obvious approach, the player can drive into the construction tunnel to evade the cops, even though it was the epicenter of the heist just a few minutes before. There is no trace of the drilled hole, even though the roof opening stays uncovered until the end of the mission.
