Azami had a limited appearance in the series and she was first seen in episode 312 of Naruto Shippuden anime, which was titled The Old Master and the Dragon’s Eye. She was introduced in the anime as the granddaughter of Chen, a legendary Konoha-based taijutsu master.
Even though Chen was thought to be dead, she was the only one who knew her grandfather was still alive and well. She was on her grandfather's graveyard, leaving riceballs for him when Rock Lee, Naruto Uzumaki, and Tenten approached her and asked whether she knew how to use her grandfather's secret technique. She told them that her grandfather is still alive and that he frequently visited the graveyard to eat her riceballs.
After these appearances, Azami has not appeared since and because of her lack of appearances, whether she is dead or alive has not been confirmed. As of now, Azami is presumed to be alive and well until any information comes to light suggesting otherwise.
Due to her lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Azami’s personality. From her limited appearance, it can be deduced that Azami is a cheerful, kind, and loving young woman. She brought rice balls for her grandfather every day at his alleged grave because she didn't think he had passed away and believed that he was still alive and well.
Azami is a young woman with shoulder-length side bangs (which slightly cover her left eye) and light brown hair pulled back in a high ponytail. She also has thin eyebrows and stone-grey eyes. She was seen dressed in red pants and a high-collared yellow and black jacket paired with standard sandals.
