Baku (Anbu) in Naruto

Very little is known about his childhood as Baku’s past is still shrouded in mystery. Baku was a member of Konoha’s Anbu unit and thus as a part of the Anbu, Baku’s real identity is unknown. Due to his limited appearances in the series, close to nothing is known about his lineage or background other than the fact that he was one of Konoha’s finest shinobi and a member of Anbu Black Ops.

Baku first appeared in Naruto Shippuden Episode 140. He was introduced as an Anbu Black Ops shinobi in the reign of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. Along with other Anbu units, Baku was assigned to keep watch on the Uchiha clan and track their movements.

Baku has not appeared since this incident; thus, his absence makes it impossible to say whether he is dead or alive. He is currently assumed to be dead unless any information surfaces indicating otherwise.
