Banna in Naruto

Banna hails from the Land of Water and he made his debut appearance in Naruto Shippuden episode 233, "Naruto's Imposter." He was an imposter and presented himself as Naruto Uzumaki, the Hero of the Hidden Leaf, and assumed the identity. Banna was made fun of when he was younger due to his appearance. He did, however, make an acquaintance known as Iggy.

In the Land of Water, while posing as "Naruto Uzumaki," Banna attacks Naruto, Yamato, Aoba, and Guy. He challenges Naruto despite being shocked to learn that the actual Naruto was standing directly in front of him, but is defeated and restrained.

Iggy makes a cameo appearance, claiming to be a shinobi and an officer of the law, and informs the Hidden Leaf shinobi that he will take Banna into custody while they are considering what to do with him. Iggy releases Banna as the shinobi departs, and it is revealed that the two are partners in a plot to have Iggy become famous for defeating the famed Naruto Uzumaki.

After hearing that Naruto was in the Land of Water, a group of mercenary ninjas decide to kidnap Banna. Later, Iggy, who arrives somewhat unwillingly out of fear, sets Banna free. The two make a futile effort to fight off the mercenaries but they’re later saved by Naruto and Hidden Leaf shinobi.

The current status of Banna is unknown to this day. Since he last met Naruto, he hasn’t made an appearance in anime or manga and thus as there is no information available proving otherwise, Banna is presumed to be alive and well.

Banna is a gentle person, which his friend Iggy partially exploited. While he does have a fairly brutal demeanor, he was also kind and cheerful despite the abuse he experienced as a child.

Banna has a giant physique and is a big, strong man with facial hair that is short and red with spiky ends. He was dressed in a green jacket with the sleeves ripped off, a yellow shirt, a pair of slacks, shoes, and arm protectors. When he pretended to be "Naruto Uzumaki," he also wore a forehead protector with a reversed Hidden Leaf emblem on it.

Banna was never a shinobi so he did not possess any combat skills whatsoever. He does have a big and muscular physique, and thus possesses great raw strength. Though little was seen of his skills, he had enough power to swiftly and effectively wield a huge club in one hand.
