Boro’s Background

At some point in time, Boro formed his own cult, dedicated to his fanatical beliefs. While carrying out Jigen's orders to eliminate the powerful cyborgs created by Amado, Boro secretly kept Ada hidden, captivated by her mesmerizing abilities.

Alongside her brother, Daemon, Boro sheltered them at his cult's headquarters. In the anime, he employed a deceptive strategy of poisoning lands covertly and then presenting himself as the "Savior." Utilizing his powers, he would cleanse the affected areas, earning the admiration and reverence of those around him.

Boro enticed people to join his cult by promising them a world of harmony and salvation. He preached to his followers about the benevolence of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, portraying them as compassionate deities favoring humanity.

According to his teachings, following the guidance of the Ōtsutsuki Clan would lead to global peace through the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Boro expressed deep anger and sorrow over the actions of the Five Great Shinobi Countries, who had killed three Ōtsutsuki Clan members and undone the effects of the Infinite Tsukuyomi. He believed that these nations acted out of selfishness, seeking to preserve their own power and influence in the world.

Kara Actuation Arc

In the anime series, Boro was present during a meeting called by Jigen. The meeting was held with the Inners to inform them of the destruction of one of the organization's facilities in Amegakure, which had been caused by an Outer.

Ao Arc

Boro participated in a crucial meeting convened by Jigen to address the pressing matter of the missing "vessel." As Jigen dispelled the genjutsu, he emphasized the utmost importance of recovering the vessel no matter the cost.

In the anime, Boro received a summons from Amado, along with the other Inners, for a supposed routine body check to detect any signs of treachery. However, he appeared only through a hologram and expressed his annoyance, suggesting that if Amado required his presence, he should have requested it directly. Boro also disclosed his awareness of Victor's betrayal and subsequent execution.

Kawaki Arc

In the anime, as Boro's cult continued to flourish, an unexpected encounter with Code disrupted his plans. Code had been tasked with bringing Boro in for a maintenance check, but rather than resorting to violence, Boro chose to handle the situation diplomatically and agreed to comply.

After witnessing Naruto's defeat of Delta, Boro took delight in taunting her over her loss. Attending a meeting with the other Inners, Boro received a surprising revelation: Boruto Uzumaki possessed his own genuine Kāma. The news piqued his interest. However, Boro's mood shifted dramatically when he overheard that his maintenance check was, in fact, a covert attempt to scan his memories for signs of treachery.

Enraged by the ongoing failure to identify the traitor and the audacity of suspecting him, Boro seethed with anger. Driven by this frustration, he took matters into his own hands and initiated an investigation into the wreckage of Victor's crashed airship. Deep within the control systems, he stumbled upon a discovery that cast suspicion on none other than Koji Kashin, suggesting possible acts of treason.

Returning to his devoted cult, Boro resumed his influential role as a preacher of salvation through the Ōtsutsuki Clan and their supposed path to enlightenment, the Infinite Tsukuyomi. During his charismatic sermons, he spun tales of tragedy, alleging that Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had met her demise at the hands of the shinobi from the Five Great Shinobi Countries.

He further propagated a fabricated narrative, falsely claiming that the great nations destroyed the Infinite Tsukuyomi to preserve their dominance over the world. In a captivating turn of events, Boro ventured into the realm of genjutsu to confront Koji, who still remained hidden within the confines of Konoha.

With cunning precision, Boro revealed a crucial piece of evidence: a spy toad he had recovered from the wreckage of Victor's airship. Pointing an accusatory finger at Koji, he boldly declared him as the treacherous spy.

However, Koji, ever composed, did not shy away from the accusation. Instead, he calmly acknowledged that the toad did indeed belong to him. In a surprising twist, Koji explained that Jigen himself had harbored suspicions during the transfer of Kawaki and had tasked him with monitoring the situation. To further bewilder Boro, Koji divulged that Jigen had recently entered the village and had even laid eyes upon him, yet took no action against him.

As Boro absorbed this unexpected revelation, a mixture of frustration and satisfaction danced upon his features. While irritated that his investigation had reached a dead end, he was uplifted by the promising news that reached his ears. Learning that Kawaki's Kāma had made significant strides in its development due to its interaction with Boruto's Kāma, Boro gleefully proclaimed that their plans now had an extended timeline to work with. With a sense of accomplishment, he concluded his communication with Koji, aware that he had pressing matters to attend to elsewhere.

Immersed in the high-stakes game of surveillance, Boro's assigned duty was to keep a watchful eye on the sealed Hokage, trapped within a mysterious teapot nestled in Kara's otherworldly dimension. Amidst this solemn task, a delightful encounter unfolded as a group of spirited children entered Boro's vicinity, their presence awakening a surge of joy within him. Among them stood Kawaki, a familiar face that elicited a surge of excitement in the Inner member.

With the children bracing themselves for a confrontation, Boro wasted no time in showcasing his immense power, effortlessly reshaping the very landscape with his mastery of Lava Release. His formidable technique was met with awe as Kawaki, drawing upon the power of his own Kāma, absorbed the onslaught. Yet, undeterred, Boro devised a sneaky attack, only to witness Boruto's Kāma absorbing his assault. The revelation of another Kāma wielder left Boro astonished, his intrigue piqued by this unexpected turn of events.

As the battle raged on, Boro showcased his astonishing endurance, swiftly healing even from the venomous bites of Mitsuki's venomous snakes. His indomitable spirit shone through as he subjected Kawaki and Boruto to his enigmatic Dark Cloud, draining their strength with each passing moment. Amidst the chaos, Boro expressed his delight in encountering Boruto, recognizing that the young ninja's possession of the Kāma meant that Kara's plans could now be extended, with Boruto serving as the vessel for the formidable Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki.

With the intention of seizing both Boruto and Kawaki to further Kara's ambitions, Boro exuded an air of confidence. However, Sarada Uchiha and Mitsuki came up with a tactic that gave them an opportunity to retreat. But, Boro was assured that their team would ultimately return to the fray. After all, their primary objective remained the rescue of the Hokage, a mission that would inevitably bring them back to him.

Sometime later, the tension reached its peak as Sarada fearlessly confronted Boro, armed with the knowledge of his Dark Cloud's true nature. Boro, impressed by her perceptiveness, wasted no time launching a fierce assault, putting Sarada on the defensive as he sought to infect her like his previous victims. Despite her valiant efforts, Boro managed to catch and infect her, relishing in her plight as he taunted her.

However, Boro's confidence quickly waned when Sarada unleashed a dazzling display of skill. She unleashed a mighty Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, followed by a powerful punch that left Boro reeling. Injured by her unexpected attack, the Inner member found himself vulnerable. Seizing the opportunity, Boruto and Kawaki, now fully recovered from the virus, seized their moment and launched a devastating strike, obliterating Boro's head.

But Boro, displaying his tenacity, reacted with lightning-quick reflexes, activating his regeneration technique just in time to survive the lethal blow. His body restored, he stood once again, unyielding in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. In a stroke of deduction, Boro realized that Mitsuki's snake had taken some of his blood, harvesting the antibodies within it. This revelation unveiled the truth behind the kids' immunity to his virus.

Impressed by the impressive abilities displayed by Sarada, Boruto, and Kawaki, Boro recognized the need to disrupt their coordinated teamwork. With cunning precision, he set his sights on the sealed Hokage, artfully manipulating Kawaki into breaking formation. The battle had reached a critical juncture, as Boro strategized to throw off their unity and regain the upper hand.

With a calculated move, Boro hurled a flurry of shuriken toward Kawaki, only to witness the young ninja expertly block them. However, his surprise knew no bounds as the shuriken detonated upon impact, unleashing a devastating explosion. Despite his injuries, Kawaki remained resolute, using his own body as a shield to protect the sealed Hokage. Boro couldn't hide his discontent, expressing his disdain for Kawaki's newfound compassion and vowing to retrain him from scratch.

The relentless assault from the children continued, each blow met with Boro's relentless regeneration as if defying the limits of his own mortality. Despite their valiant efforts, exhaustion began to take its toll on the young ninjas, leaving them vulnerable. Boro, seizing the opportunity, mercilessly battered them, his power seemingly insurmountable.

However, just when all hope seemed lost, Sarada unleashed a decisive strike. Armed with her Chidori, she honed in on Boro's core, having discovered its significance for his regenerative abilities through Kawaki. With surgical precision, she removed the core, triggering a cataclysmic transformation in Boro's body. Mutating into a grotesque and colossal form, he found himself stripped of the stabilizing force that had held him together.

In the midst of the chaos, Boruto and Kawaki utilized the power of their Kāma, working in tandem to free Naruto from his confinement. Yet, Boro managed to regain a semblance of control, his rage surging as he turned his attention to the young ninjas, overwhelming them with his sheer might.

Suddenly, a profound evolution occurred within Boruto's Kāma, an escalation that surpassed all expectations. Momoshiki's consciousness engulfed Boruto's own, granting him an unimaginable surge in power. With this newfound strength, Boruto, now the vessel for Momoshiki, effortlessly obliterated Boro, vanquishing the formidable foe in a display of sheer dominance.

In a moment of hubris, Boro unknowingly provided Boruto with a crucial clue regarding Kara's nefarious plans. As Boruto stood face to face with Isshiki, Boro's words unveiled the truth: Isshiki required Boruto alive to expedite his schemes involving the God Tree.

Meanwhile, Code launched a daring assault on Boro's cult compound, determined to locate the hidden cyborgs that Boro had defied Jigen's orders to destroy. Threatening Bug, Code coerced him into leading him to Ada, and their encounter later brought Code face to face with Daemon.

Following Boro's demise, Konohamaru Sarutobi and Sai Yamanaka embarked on a covert mission to infiltrate Boro's cult, driven by the pursuit of vital intelligence on Kara. Their relentless efforts paid off as they unearthed evidence exposing Boro's crimes and deceit. However, to their dismay, Boro's devoted followers vehemently denied any wrongdoing on his part, remaining fiercely loyal to the man they saw as their savior.

Tragically, as Delta unleashed destruction upon the cult's headquarters, those who clung to their unwavering faith in Boro perished, believing until their last breath that he would deliver salvation. The survivors left in a state of trauma and profound shock, bore witness to the devastating consequences of their misplaced trust.

Boro’s Personality

Boro, a member of Kara, exuded an air of confidence and smugness just like his comrades. He saw himself as someone chosen by a divine entity and took pleasure in Victor's misfortunes, considering him abandoned. Boro didn't hesitate to go against orders that didn't align with his own agenda, manipulating the truth to serve his own purposes.

In the anime, his shameless nature revealed a manipulative side as he poisoned and then "saved" people, turning them into blind followers of his cult. Despite being aware of the deceptive nature of his powers, he deluded himself into thinking he was a true miracle worker, believing he could save the world with his actions. His modifications became his source of pride, considering them the epitome of unmatched power, surpassing any shinobi.

When confronted by the abilities of Team 7 and Kawaki, Boro displayed a condescending attitude, dismissing their efforts as pointless. He even had a mischievous side, mocking Delta for her defeat and relishing in the idea of seeing her face disappointment.

Boro remained unwavering in his mission to protect the sealed Seventh Hokage, showing unwavering dedication. His vast knowledge allowed him to quickly assess and handle most threats without being easily shocked. Similar to Jigen, he wholeheartedly pursued Kara's goals, disregarding matters unrelated to their mission.

Despite this, he grew increasingly appreciative of Boruto Uzumaki's status as Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki's vessel, desiring to capture him for Kara's advantage. Like Delta and Jigen, he considered Kawaki's attachment to Konoha a weakness in their prized vessel and expressed the intention to retrain him completely once he was brought back.

When Sarada destroyed his core with her Chidori, Boro lost control and descended into a state of uncontrollable rage. His body mutated, and he lashed out at anyone in his vicinity with wild and frenzied attacks.

Boro’s Appearance

Boro had a commanding presence, standing tall with a muscular build that spoke of his physical prowess. His appearance was distinctive, with short spiky white hair atop his head and a trimmed mustache and beard that extended along his jawline. Violet eyes shone with intensity, while his face bore three striking tattoos, resembling the Roman numeral "Ⅲ."

These tattoos adorned his forehead, under each eye, and between his eyes, adding an air of mystery to his countenance. His body was adorned with various embedded disks on his temples, pectorals, forearms, shoulder blades, and hips, showcasing his extensive modifications. Notably, Boro's modifications made his physical features void of gender-based anatomy.

Like his fellow Inner members of Kara, Boro typically donned a dark hooded robe, exuding an aura of power and secrecy. Underneath his robes, he wore a black coat over a blue shirt, distinguished by a row of buttons on the right side, often leaving the lower buttons undone.

His attire was completed by black pants, blue shinobi sandals, and armbands with metal plates adorning his forearms. However, during his leadership of the cult, Boro switched to a white robe with a high collar, showcasing his status and authority.

Boro’s Abilities

Boro, an Inner of Kara, possessed an awe-inspiring level of power that surpassed even his fellow Inner, Delta. His physical enhancements, courtesy of Amado's modifications, further elevated his strength and made him an exceptionally formidable adversary.

In fact, he was deemed powerful enough to be selected as the next opponent to face Naruto, the strongest shinobi, immediately after his decisive victory over Delta. This speaks volumes about the immense threat Boro posed.

Kawaki, who had firsthand experience with both Jigen and Boro, went as far as to suggest that Boro's malevolence surpassed even that of Jigen, emphasizing the depth of his darkness. Recognizing his immense capabilities, Kara entrusted Boro with the crucial task of guarding the sealed coffin containing Naruto, while anticipating a rescue attempt by Sasuke Uchiha.

It was a testament to Boro's might and the level of trust placed in him by the organization. Indeed, Boro's power was put to the test when he engaged in a battle against Team 7 and Kawaki. With his unique abilities at his disposal, he effortlessly overwhelmed the combined forces of the team, showcasing his overwhelming strength and demonstrating why he was held in such high regard within Kara.

Intelligence

Boro possessed a remarkable talent for manipulating others, employing a subtle and deceptive strategy to gain people's trust. He would secretly contaminate the surroundings, creating an appearance of rampant diseases, and then present himself as a miraculous healer, offering to cleanse the afflicted areas. Through this elaborate ruse, he was able to establish himself as a figure of authority and exploit people's vulnerability for his own benefit.

His skills as an orator were equally impressive, using his alleged encounters with the Infinite Tsukuyomi to captivate his audience and sway them to his cause. He would weave tales of the Ōtsutsuki clan, painting them as benevolent gods despite their malevolent actions, effectively blinding his followers to the truth.

Boro's ability to brainwash others was so potent and comprehensive that even after his death and his crimes were exposed, his devoted followers remained trapped in their delusions, continuing to believe in him as their savior. His mastery of manipulation and persuasive techniques allowed him to build a loyal following, blurring the lines between truth and fiction, and ensnaring the minds of those who sought salvation.

Boro's deceitful tactics and charismatic presence made him a formidable adversary, capable of bending the wills of others to serve his own twisted agenda.

Ninjutsu

Boro possessed a wide range of abilities that made him a formidable opponent. His regeneration technique was particularly noteworthy, allowing him to rapidly heal any physical damage inflicted upon him and even counteract the effects of poison. This made him incredibly resilient and difficult to defeat.

In addition to his regenerative powers, Boro was skilled in shurikenjutsu. He could expertly handle shurikens infused with gunpowder, employing stealth and precision in their deployment. He also had the ability to create a dark mist that defied Wind Release techniques, using it as a smokescreen for surprise attacks.

By combining the mist with gunpowder, he could create explosive reactions, making even the slightest spark a dangerous trigger. Boro demonstrated proficiency in multiple elemental releases. By combining Fire and Earth Release, he could utilize Lava Release, generating a highly corrosive acid capable of easily melting through shurikens.

He also possessed Water Release, enabling him to create surging walls of water that could repel powerful lightning-based attacks like Mitsuki's Lightning Release: Snake Lightning and Sarada's Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique. Furthermore, he exhibited the use of Yin Release, allowing him to communicate with others through genjutsu, effectively manipulating their perceptions.

Physical Prowess

Boro's imposing physique matched his immense strength. With ease, he could lift the colossal sealing kettle that confined Naruto using just one hand, hurling it across great distances. When confronted by Mitsuki's constricting snakes, he effortlessly broke free from their hold, showcasing his raw power.

Despite his size, Boro possessed surprising speed. He employed clever diversions to escape from his enemies, disappearing from their line of sight and swiftly intercepting any attempts to flee. His agility was not to be underestimated.

Boro's body boasted exceptional resilience. He could withstand direct hits, such as a powerful Rasengan, and remain standing, undeterred. Even an attack from Kawaki's transformed arm failed to inflict significant damage, highlighting his durability.

Remarkably, Boro demonstrated an impressive threshold for pain. He absorbed relentless assaults from Team 7 and Kawaki, enduring strikes that could shatter most bodies. His tenacity in battle was commendable. Furthermore, Boro showcased remarkable proficiency in taijutsu, the art of hand-to-hand combat. He effortlessly repelled the combined assault of Team 7 and Kawaki, striking them with punishing blows that showcased his skill and precision.

Scientific Ninja Tools

Similar to his fellow members of Kara, Boro underwent extensive modifications to his body through Scientific Ninja Tools, courtesy of Amado. These enhancements granted him unique abilities and formidable advantages in battle.

One of Boro's notable tools was a fast-acting virus concealed within his dark mist. Upon contact, the virus paralyzed his opponents, rendering them helpless. Unlike chakra-based attacks, this virus was composed of physical matter, making it immune to absorption by Kāma, the mysterious mark possessed by some individuals. Boro himself was immune to the virus, thanks to carrying antibodies within his bloodstream.

Additionally, Boro's body contained a special core that he could manipulate within himself. This core played a crucial role in activating and amplifying his healing technique, enabling him to withstand virtually any damage and regenerate within seconds. Astonishingly, he could recover even if his head was completely obliterated.

However, the core served as a stabilizer for his modifications, preventing uncontrollable mutations. Without it, his body would enter a state known as Rampage Mode, causing him to grow in size and transform his limbs into tentacles. These modifications granted Boro exceptional abilities and resilience, making him an incredibly formidable adversary.

His virus-infused mist and rapid healing capabilities made him a deadly opponent to face in combat, and his reliance on the core highlighted the delicate balance that maintained his formidable powers. Boro's modified body allowed him to unleash devastation and endure even the most catastrophic injuries, solidifying his status as a fearsome member of Kara.

Boro in Other Media

In addition to the Boruto manga and its anime adaptation, Boro also appears in a game titled, Naruto x Boruto: Ninja Voltage.
