Chohan in Naruto

Very little is known about Chohan’s childhood and past as his heritage is still shrouded in mystery. Due to his limited appearances in the series, close to nothing is known about his lineage or background other than the fact that he is a gambler from the Land of Fire.

Chohan first appeared in the Search for Tsunade Arc. In this arc, Chohan agreed to trade some information with Jiraiya about Tsunade Senju if Jiraiya won the gambling game. Jiraiya almost lost the game but Naruto Uzumaki unknowingly intercepted the game with his Rasengan practice. Jiraiya won the game because of that and it saved him 1000 ryo plus he got the information he needed for free from Chohan.

Chohan has not appeared since this incident and thus his absence makes it impossible to say for sure whether he is dead or alive. He is currently assumed to be alive and well unless any information indicates otherwise.

Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Chohan’s personality. From his limited appearance, it can be deduced that Chohan is quite a gambler and was willing to gamble on information in exchange for money.

Chohan is a fair-skinned man with an average build and dark eyes with an afro. He is last seen dressed in a dark kimono with grey trimmings, paired with white pants.

Chohan is stated to be a gambler and there is no information of him ever being involved in any shinobi training whatsoever. Based on this information, it is believed that Chohan does not possess any combat capabilities.
