This man was the founder of Hoshigakure and its first Hoshikage. He was also known as Shodai Hoshikage, meaning “First or Founding Star Shadow”. Long ago, shortly after the Warring States Era, he witnessed a Star fall from the sky. As it approached, he could feel the power it gave him, but he never knew of the side effects it would cause. After being exposed to its unique chakra, he became the strongest shinobi in the Land of Bears, and eventually he dubbed himself as the First Hoshikage, Leader of the Village Hidden in the Stars that he founded.

He discovered a fallen star (meteor) that had mystical powers about two hundred years before the start of the series. He founded Hoshigakure in the Land of Bears, willing to make well-known shinobi and acquire the title of a great hidden village. He wasn’t aware of the side effects of the star training, and soon people started to die as a result of the overpowering chakra that imploded in their bodies.
He wore the traditional outfit of the Hoshigakure that consisted of the customary hat and haori along with a purple, full-length kimono that was tied using a white slash. His face hasn’t been revealed, but he appeared to be a middle-aged man with a big mustache.
Considering his rank, he was undoubtedly a strong shinobi to have led a village. He found the usage of the star that Hoshigakure became renowned for and was presumably aware of the benefits it could provide with its chakra. However, he could not have known about its side effects, meaning, he didn’t have enough time to realize the dangers of utilizing the star’s chakra
