Fuso in Naruto

Fusō and her husband Ise were humanitarian relief workers during the Second Shinobi World War. She and her family were hiding in their battle-damaged house one night during the war, when Konoha ninja broke in, hunting for food. Fusō and her family attempted to flee, but when they were discovered, she and Ise drew attention to themselves, allowing Nagato to flee. Assuming the two of them were enemy ninjas, the Konoha ninja quickly slaughtered both of them.

When Nagato saw this, he unintentionally awakened his Rinnegan and killed the Konoha ninja. Nagato buried his parents before heading out to look for food. The death of his parents is the first significant tragedy of his life, and it serves as proof, in his opinion, that the tranquility Konoha preaches comes at the expense of other people’s lives.

Fusō was a kind woman who worked as a nurse with her husband to help others in times of conflict. She adored her son and gave up her own life to save his life.
