Very little is known about Goshiki’s childhood and past as his heritage is still shrouded in mystery. Due to his limited appearances in the series, close to nothing is known about his lineage or background other than the fact that he is a tour guide from the Land of Fire and works at Tanzaku Castle.

Goshiki first appeared in the Search for Tsunade Arc and in this arc, Goshiki was fleeing with the rest of the citizens when Orochimaru destroyed the Tanzaku castle. He then tells Jiraiya and Naruto Uzumaki of what transpired and advises them to flee and get to safety as well.

Goshiki has not appeared since this incident; thus, his absence makes it impossible to say whether he is dead or alive. He is currently assumed to be alive and well unless any information indicates otherwise.

Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, Goshiki never had the opportunity to express his individuality. Based on the spare appearance he had, it could be deduced that even though Goshiki was scared and was running for his life, he is kind enough to stop and warn Jiraiya and Naruto about the situation.

Goshiki has dark eyes and short, spiky brown hair. He is dressed in a light green collared shirt underneath his long-sleeved green shirt, white trousers, and dark sandals.

Goshiki is stated to be a tour guide and there is no information of him ever being involved in any combat training whatsoever. Based on this information, it is believed that Goshiki does not possess any combat capabilities.
