Kiki’s Background

Kiki is a trained monkey who performs in a circus. The information regarding his early years is unavailable; however, it is highly likely he has been affiliated with the circus since he was born. It is stated that Kiki was partnered with Chamu in the circus, and they performed the best act together.

Kiki made his on-screen debut in the Naruto the Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom movie itself. In the movie, Michiru Tsuki, the current king of the Land of Moon, purchased the circus that Kiki belongs to. Near the climax of the movie, Kiki and his partner, Chamu, restrain Ishidate, a rogue mercenary ninja of the Land of the Moon. It gave Naruto Uzumaki, who is wounded and not in the state to fight, the opening he needed, and he attacked Ishidate with his Crescent Moon Rasengan.

This is the only instance Kiki ever appeared in the Naruto series. Based on this minimal appearance, Kiki is believed to be alive and well until any additional piece of information comes to light suggesting otherwise.
