Kunijiro is a character in the Naruto series that first appeared in Naruto Episode 174, titled “Impossible! Celebrity Ninja Art: Money Style Jutsu!” Kunijiro is an old acquaintance of Tsunade Senju, the Fifth Hokage. He started off poor but is now a very successful, rich jeweler.

Kunijiro is a jeweler by profession and a very successful one at that. However, it is stated that when he was young, he had nothing, but later, he became rich by selling rare gems. At some point in his life, he met Tsunade, and the two became friends. He also has a son named Kunihisa.
Additionally, he is only a part of the Naruto anime, making him a filler, non-canon character in the series.
Kunijiro made his debut in the Daimyo Heir Escort Mission. In the episode, Kunijiro met with Tsunade and mentioned that his son wanted to know what it meant to be a shinobi. To fulfill his son’s wish, he requested Tsunade to introduce Kunihisa to the life of a shinobi and show him what it meant to be a shinobi. Tsunade assigned this task to none other than Naruto Uzumaki, the number one hyperactive, knucklehead ninja.
