Moguranmaru’s Background

Very little is known about Moguranmaru, as it was just introduced as Muyami’s summon and did not play much of a role in the series. Also, Moguranmaru is just a part of the Naruto Shippuden anime and does not appear or receive any mentions in the manga, making it a non-canon, filler character in the series.

Moguranmaru originally debuted in episode 402 of the Naruto Shippuden anime. It first appeared in the ‘In Naruto’s Footsteps: The Friends’ Path’ Arc in the anime. In the arc, it was revealed that Muyami summoned Moguranmaru during the chunin exams to aid him and his teammates in escaping after they stole the scroll from Team Kurenai, consisting of Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame. In a later battle, Muyami summoned Moguranmaru once again to help in their battle against Team Kurenai. Unfortunately for Moguranmaru, Shino defeated and killed Moguranmaru with his Kidaichu Infestation Technique.

Moguranmaru was a large mole and had long white claws, brown fur, and spikes on its tail. Furthermore, it wore shades, blue underwear, and a green scarf around its neck. It also wears an orange pouch, which bears the Kusagakure insignia. This pouch could be used to carry people.
