Naho’s background is shrouded in mystery as other than the fact that she is the niece of the Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire, close to nothing is known about her lineage. She had a very limited appearance in the anime and none in the manga. She first appeared in episode 196 of Naruto Shippuden, titled Drive Towards Darkness.
Naho had a crush on Sasuke Uchiha after he saved her life when she was just a kid. When she was just a kid, she dropped her ball as she was playing with it, and it immediately began to roll away. She slipped off a cliff while attempting to catch it but Sasuke saved her life and Naho developed an infatuation with him.
Later as she grew older, Lady Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village, assigned NarutoUzumaki and Sakura Haruno to accompany Naho to Shizume Village. She denied requesting Sasuke to serve as her bodyguard and Naruto transformed into Sasuke to trick her as they set out on their quest. They stumbled upon an enemy, Sadai, who had an impenetrable body.
Sadai quickly overcame Naruto and Sakura and captured them together with Naho after a battle with the help of other criminal ninjas. Later that evening, Sasuke tracked down the three and engaged in combat with the criminal, eventually defeating him with Chidori while continuing to beat him. Sasuke's icy demeanor caused Naho to fear him.
However, Naruto convinced Naho to forgive Sasuke as he told her that Sasuke is a genuinely wonderful person and therefore she should forgive him. Not onl that, Naruto promised that he will bring Sasuke to her as soon as he returns to his previous self.
After these appearances, Naho has not appeared since and because of her lack of appearances, whether she is dead or alive has not been confirmed. As of now, Naho is presumed to be alive and well until any information comes to light suggesting otherwise.
Naho never had the chance to showcase her personality in the series and did not have any significant role in the series. She just appeared in the Past Arc: The Locus of the Hidden Leaf. With her limited appearance, it can be deduced that she is a kind young girl.
She was infatuated with Sasuke after he saved her life until she witnessed his cold nature when he kept beating an already defeated Sadai. She also appeared to be quite stubborn as she refused anybody other than Sasuke to be her bodyguard and accompany her on her journey.
Naho has light-brown eyes and long brown hair that she wears in two large circular sections up top with bangs that fall to the sides of her face. Her eyebrows are polka-dotted as well. She has a tiny red fabric that hangs down the sides of her head and a small gold-colored crown on her head. Naho is usually dressed in a light green and white haori with a light green ribbon, a pink skirt with tan shinobi sandals and circular bands around her ankles, and a white puffy long sleeve top with pink wristbands underneath.
Naho is royal blood and is a distant relative to the Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire. She did not undergo the crucial training to be a shinobi and thus did not possess any battle skills or tactics. Even if she possesses any abilities, that is still unknown.
