The Nara Clan is a clan belonging to the Hidden Leaf Village and they are considered to be one of the most respected clans of the Hidden Leaf Village. Members of the Nara Clan possess the ability to manipulate shadows and they utilize their Yin Release to manipulate shadows. Nara Clan is also famous for its tending deer.

Shikaku Nara and Shikamaru Nara are known for their intelligence and strategic thinking all over the Great Five Nations. Both father and son have served as the advisor to the Hokage of their time. After Shikaku’s untimely death in the Fourth Great Ninja War, Shikamaru became the head of the Nara Clan.

Founding and History of the Nara Clan

The Nara Clan is a well-respected clan of the Hidden Leaf Village. They are skilled in Shadow Manipulation Techniques and are also known for their deer tending. They have a special bond with the deer of the Nara Clan Forest. Members of the Nara Clan are the only ones who can enter the forest without getting attacked by deer. An outsider can enter the forest under only one condition, when they have received permission from the Nara Clan.

The clan possesses a book that contains various medicine preparations and their effects. They have passed this book along for generations and this goes to show the fact that they are also skilled in healing arts. This book also contains information regarding the secret pills which are used by the Akimichi Clan.

The Nara Clan has a long-standing and special bond with the Akimichi Clan and YamanakaClan of the Hidden Leaf. The members of these three clans have formed trios for generations. The trios of these three clans are known as the Ino-Shika-Cho trios.

It is a long-standing tradition that whenever the generation heads of these three clans are promoted to the rank of Chunin, a member of the Sarutobi Clan will provide them with special earrings. This symbolizes the unity between the three clans and that they are considered adults in the eyes of their respective clans.

After Shikaku, the former head of the Nara Clan, died in the Fourth Great Ninja War, Shikamaru became the head of the clan. When Shikamaru married Temari of the Hidden Sand Village, the Kazekage’s bloodline was also introduced in the Nara Clan.

1. Shikaku Nara

Shikaku was the former head of the Nara Clan. He served as the advisor to the Hokage of his time and was known for his strategic thinking. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, he proved to be a great asset to the Allied Shinobi War. His strategy played a significant role in taking down the Ten-Tails. Unfortunately, he died in the Fourth Great Ninja War when Madara Uchiha blew up the Allied HQ in order to sever Allied Forces’ head from its body, a basic battle strategy.

2. Shikamaru Nara

After his father died in the war, Shikamaru became the head of his clan. He also serves as an advisor to the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. His lazy nature aside, Shikamaru has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with time after time with his unmatched intellect. Although he is lazy by nature, he works hard on improving himself constantly to be capable enough to save his comrades.

3. Suzaku Nara

Shuzaku is a renowned shinobi of the Nara Clan who has proved himself time after time. He is skilled in his clan’s signature move, Shadow Imitation Technique and was able to bind Naruto before is was able to escape from the secure location during the war.

4. Shikadai Nara

Shikadai Nara is the son of Shikamaru and Temari. He is a chunin of the Hidden Leaf and the heir to the Nara Clan. He inherited his intellect from his father and is well versed in his clan’s secret techniques.
