She took up the role of Obito’s guardian after his parent’s death. She welcomed Rin Nohara on the day of the youth ninja competition and fun of Obito for having a great-grandchild. She also told Obito to respect both his parents as they sacrificed themselves in order to protect Obito, when he asked her which one of them he looked like.

She was a compassionate woman who genuinely cared about her grandson, telling him how much he resembles both his parents and expressed her desire to see him pursue a successful life. She often made fun of Obito about the possibility of him giving her future great-grandchildren, despite the fact that Obito was only 5 years old at the time, she was aware about his crush on Rin.

She was an elderly woman with shoulder-length gray hair, and big,dark eyes. She used to dress in a high-collar purple outfit with a brow vest bearing the Emblem of the Uchiha crest.
